Established in 1984 and located in the historical city of Datong, Shanxi province, China, Datong University is a comprehensive undergraduate university approved by China's Ministry of Education. With approximately over 330,000 square meters of campus area, the university has 17 colleges that offer 52 undergraduate programs across diverse fields. Datong University is committed to promoting basic scientific research, applied research and research in the discipline of philosophy and social sciences, stressing the integration of industry, teaching and research. As a result, the university has molded a relatively comprehensive discipline system that includes philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, art and other disciplines. Currently, the university enrolls more than 20,000 full-time students and boasts a staff of more than 1,000 members.
