AGH University of Science and Technology is one of the leading institutes of technology and the largest technical university in Poland. It was established in 1919 and is based in Krakow, where it carries out educational, research activities, and tasks related to the dissemination and promotion of science.

Overview

The AGH University of Science and Technology conducts research at the world level in the scope of basic sciences, as well as high-technology development work in areas such as metal engineering, ceramics, automatics, and robotics, electronics, telecommunications and computer science, power engineering, mining and geology, drilling, geoengineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, multicultural interdisciplinary studies, environmental engineering, and social sciences. It currently consists of 15 faculties and 1 branch faculty located in a different city. The potential of the AGH UST is focused on the modern management concept comprising all areas of the university's activities, including scientific, research, teaching, administration, and service functions. The strength of this concept is a strong orientation towards the quality determined by the requirements and expectations of the university's social and economic environment.
