AgroParisTech is a French university-level institution, also known as Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences. It was founded in 2007 as a merger of three graduate institutes of science and engineering which were originally established in the 19th century. AgroParisTech is one of the founding members of the University of Paris-Saclay consortium which is a public research university in France. The education provided at AgroParisTech is based on cutting-edge scientific research and allows around 2500 students to develop a high level of creative, free and responsible thinking. The institution is engaged in seven major socio-economic issues, including sustainable agriculture, forests, food, water, habitat, impacts on the environment and health. It also offers lifelong learning for professionals in the same sectors and encourages international student exchanges.
