Alexandria University (AU) is a public institution located in Alexandria, one of Egypt's largest cities. It was founded in 1938 as a satellite institution of Cairo University, becoming independent in 1942. Today, AU accommodates over 150,000 students across a diverse range of programs.

Alexandria University is a comprehensive, public, research university. Since its establishment, AU has been committed to enriching its students' education through learner-centered teaching, practical training, and exposure to research. The university consists of 23 faculties, 5 institutes, and 7 research centers, spanning across Alexandria, Aswan, and Matrouh Governorates. The faculties cover a wide array of knowledge fields such as Arts, Law, Medicine, Science, Engineering, among others.
