Aswan University is a public university located in Aswan, Egypt. It was officially inaugurated in 2012 and was earlier a branch of South Valley University. The university attracts students from different parts of Egypt, offering a wide array of academic programs and degrees.

Established formally in 2012, Aswan University is committed to preparing students for the challenges of a rapidly changing workplace. The University offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has a strong commitment to providing the highest quality of teaching and research. The university plays a leading role in the local community by offering a host of services in the fields of health, engineering, computer science, and agriculture. Although relatively young, Aswan University has made significant progress in academic, scientific research and providing the needs of the society in various sectors. It is also keen on building relationships with education and research institutions locally and internationally. It comprises 16 faculties, a faculty of Oral & Dental Surgery being the newest addition.
