Overview
Bahir Dar University (BDU) was established in the year 2000 merging two former higher learning institutions; namely the Bahir Dar Polytechnic and Bahir Dar Teachers’ College. The University has since gone through massive transformation to become one of the largest and top ranking universities in Ethiopia. With its imposing number of graduate and undergraduate programs, research centers and partnerships both locally and abroad, BDU is committed to contribute towards the realization of our nation's Development Plans.
