Central Queensland University (CQU) is a public university established officially in 1992 but its origin dates back to 1967. It is based at numerous locations throughout Queensland, and is one of the few Australian universities with a strong focus on the distance education, leading the sector in flexible and practical learning. The university has over 35,000 students from around 80 countries, with the campus network spreading across Australia. CQU currently offers hundreds of education and training offerings, from short courses and certificates, through to undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees.
