Chongqing Normal University, also known as CQNU, was established in the year 1954. With over 30,000 students, it offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, and has been designated as a key institution by the Chongqing Municipal Government. CQNU is divided into two campuses: Shapingba and University Town, which together cover an area of more than 200 hectares. The University emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, promoting a holistic educational philosophy, and cultivating talents with practical capabilities. It has 20 research institutes and has set up 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center, 13 municipal experimental teaching demonstration centers, and much more. Notably, CQNU is renowned for its Teacher Education, Chinese Ethnic Languages, Arts, and Physical Education disciplines. The university also encourages international cooperation and exchanges and has established academic partnerships with more than 70 universities in 20 countries around the globe.
