Overview

Established in 1965, Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences (CUAS) is located in the city of Chongqing, China. It is known as a key enterprise under 'Education Reviving Project' of Chongqing municipality. CUAS has 21 teaching units and offers 64 undergraduate programs along with four doctoral degree programs, and nearly 100 labs for different research directions. Its campus is divided into two major parts, where one half is nestled in the mountains and the other half is located near the city's downtown area. The university seeks to provide its students with a comprehensive education grounded in Chinese cultural traditions. Leveraging its location, it has made great contributions to local economic and social development. The university also boasts a strong faculty team. Currently, there are over 1,200 full-time teachers, with over 80% holding a Master’s degree or above. Every year since 2009, the university has won awards for its outstanding performances in scientific research at provincial and ministerial levels.
