Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, standing as France’s oldest engineering school, was established in 1747. As a founding member of ParisTech, a collection of leading Parisian engineering colleges, it has carved out a reputation for sterling technical training, but also focuses on helping students develop a broader, multidisciplinary scientific culture. The institution has a holistic approach to the big economic, social, and environmental issues. ENPC offers a range of courses across Engineering, Management, Economics, Transportation, Urban planning, and the Environment. There is a strong emphasis on research, with about 100 PhD candidates enrolled at any one time. ENPC also has strong links with the industry and offers a number of internships to its students. It's alumni have gone on to achieve prominent roles in a diverse range of fields.
