Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), named after the great epic poet Ferdowsi, was established in 1949 in Mashhad, Iran, offering a diverse range of degrees in different fields of study including architecture, computer engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and English language and literature among others. It is the third oldest university in the country and one of the biggest in terms of infrastructure and student population.
