Gannan Medical University (GMU), located in Ganzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in south of Jiangxi province, China. The university was established in 1941 and was initially known as National Chung Cheng University. It was restructured as Gannan Medical College in 1958 following a transition of jurisdiction of Gannan Prefecture and then upgraded to Gannan Medical University in 2017. The university covers a wide area of 12,800 square meters. Currently, it offers a plethora of courses to students like medical science, liberal arts, law, engineering and agriculture. It has 14 teaching institutions and 5 directly-affiliated hospitals. To foster a global educational environment, the university has collaborations with many international universities and world-renowned research institutions.
