Founded in 1960, Hebei University of Engineering (HUE) has grown into a comprehensive institution of higher learning, providing courses covering eleven branches of learning including engineering, science, literature, economics, management, law, education, medicine, and arts. It currently maintains 60 undergraduate programs and enrolls students from all over the nation. The teaching force includes about 1,500 full-time teachers, among whom 190 are professors, 600 associate professors. The university has state-of-the-art labs and research faculties.
