Overview

Henan University of Science and Technology (HUST) was initially established in 1903, becoming Henan Polytechnic School. It was later restructured and broadened into an incorporated higher education institution and renamed as Luoyang Institute of Technology in 1952. Again, in 2002, it transitioned into a multidisciplinary university under the name Henan University of Science and Technology. The university currently counts with 26 schools and departments offering 71 Bachelor’s, 71 Master’s, and 18 Doctorate programs which are supported by more than 1700 faculty members. It has approximately 35000 students and covers an area of 267 hectares. HUST's mission is to promote and develop scientific research and talent development leading to multifarious contributions to the global scientific community and society. The university is also involved several international cooperations and exchanges with overseas academies and research institutions.
