Overview

Hubei University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM), founded in 1958, is one of the earliest established TCM colleges in China and is now an important base for TCM higher learning, scientific research and medical treatment. The University covers an area of over 730,000 square meters with a building area of more than 370,000 square meters. There are more than 1,100 teachers, among which, 235 hold a senior title, 6 are elected into the state-level “Millions of Talents Project”, 3 are given the state government’s special allowance. HUCM has more than 18,000 students of different kinds, including 9,000 full-time students. HUCM offers 19 specialties for 4-year students and 1 specialty for 3-year students. The study fields include medicine, sciences, management, laws, education, literature, art, and engineering. Its educational system has been extended to post-doctoral mobile station, doctoral degree, master's degree, bachelor's degree, continuing education and international students' education.
