Hunan University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM) is a Chinese higher institution designated to provide comprehensive, multi-level education in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), pharmacy, health and rehabilitation, and functional food. The university consists of 16 colleges, offers 20 undergraduate programs, 35 master's programs, and 28 doctoral programs. Its degrees cover medicine, science, engineering, education, management and more. The university emphasizes on the organic combination of TCM clinical service, education and research, and attaches great importance to the development of TCM disciplines, especially the key discipline of Chinese internal medicine, which has won many national and provincial awards. It is also a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaboration Center for Traditional Medicine and has partnerships with over 30 universities and institutions worldwide.
