Hunan University of Information Technology (HUIT) is a multidisciplinary university with engineering as its focus, and also offering instruction in science, management, economics, education, arts and law. Created in 2006, HUIT has fostered a good academic atmosphere over the years and provides students with a well-rounded education.

Overview

Hunan University of Information Technology (HUIT) based in Changsha, Hunan province, was established in 2006 as a multidisciplinary institution. The HUIT consists of 18 schools and 50 undergraduate majors, focusing primarily on engineering. It has been gaining prominence in the fields of science, management, economics, education, arts and law as well. The university’s mission is to serve social and economic development, and to focus on cultivation of students’ practical skills, creative abilities and their overall development. Every year, HUIT accepts students from various provinces and cities throughout China, making it a diverse place of learning. It has more than 20000 full-time students, nearly 1300 staff members, and it occupies an area of nearly 131 hectares. Owing to its comprehensive and innovative programmes, HUIT has become progressively the first choice for many aspiring students.
