Ilia State University (ISU) was established in 2006 when three institutions of higher education in Georgia, Tbilisi State Institute of Asian and African Studies, Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Western Languages and Culture, Science and Art Institute Georgia merged. With around 20,000 enrolled students, ISU is a major educational powerhouse. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various disciplines.
