Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI) is an autonomous public technical and research university located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Founded in 2009, it is one of the latest additions to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) system.
Overview
The Indian Institute of Technology Indore, commonly known as IIT Indore or IITI, was established by the Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new IITs, which were announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The institution started functioning from a temporary campus at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University under mentorship of IIT Bombay. With outstanding faculty, world class infrastructure, and a picturesque campus, the institute offers a superb environment for academics, research, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities alike. The IIT Indore community comprises of students from various regions, pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Science and Humanities.
