Inner Mongolia University (IMU) is a comprehensive university in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, under the authority of Ministry of Education. It was established in 1957. The university accommodates a group of cultural, academic and research-oriented scholars and professors from all parts of the country.

Inner Mongolia University (IMU) is one of the top institutions in China, offering extensive academic programs and research opportunities in Mandarin, Mongolian Studies and much more. Established in 1957, IMU was acknowledged as a 'National Key University' by the government and has grown to accommodate a wide variety of faculties including the Humanities, Natural Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Economics, Education, and Medicine. With around 24,000 students, it has 27 colleges, two independent colleges, nine mobile stations for post-doctoral research, 48 doctoral programs, 92 master's programs and 86 undergraduate programs. The university consistently strives for academic excellence, advocating the integration of teaching, research and practice. It is known for its distinctive academic environment that fosters creativity, innovation and cross-cultural understanding.
