Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute is a public institution of higher learning located in the 'Porcelain Capital' of Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. It is the only independent establishment of higher learning in the field of ceramics in China. Founded in 1958, JCI has become a comprehensive institution with a focus on Engineering, integrating Engineering, Art, Science, Economics, and Management.

With over half a century's development, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute (JCI) has become a comprehensive institution with a focus on Engineering, integrating Engineering, Art, Science, Economics, and Management. It houses 50 undergraduate programs under 15 departments distributed in the field of Engineering, Art, Science, Economics, Literature, Law, and Education, out of which Ceramic Science and Engineering, Art Design (Ceramics), and Fine Arts (Ceramics) enjoy a nation's highlighted educational support. JCI has established collaborative relations with over 60 universities and scientific research institutions from about 20 countries and regions. As a specialized institution located in the 'Porcelain Capital' of Jingdezhen City, it represents the highest level of ceramic education and research in China.
