It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act from 2 of the constituent colleges of Sri Shivarathreeshwara University. These are JSS Medical College and JSS Dental College. The university offers courses in health sciences, including MBBS, BDS, B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Pharm., M.Pharm., Pharm.D., and Ph.D. programs. It aims to deliver a high standard of education and to foster research through its leading-edge facilities.
