Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is a unique higher education institution in the UK. The LSTM was the first institution globally that dedicated to research and teaching of tropical medicine. They have been teaching and researching tropical diseases for over a century.

Overview

Established in 1898, The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is the world’s first institution dedicated to research and teaching in the field of tropical medicine. LSTM is a registered charity affiliated to the University of Liverpool. Over 115 years LSTM has grown and has made significant contributions to global health through the research, education and delivery of international technical assistance. The school’s research is conducted in over 60 countries worldwide with the primary aim of improving health of the world's poorest people, helping them to relieve sickness and distress caused by diseases. LSTM offers a range of programmes from Masters, Professional Diplomas to PhD opportunities. The school is home to approximately 600 students from over 68 countries.
