Established in 1922 as a humble technical school, Makerere University is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Uganda. It is located in the heart of Kampala, the country'scapital. The university offers numerous undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in fields such as health sciences, humanities, business, science and technology, among others. With an estimated student population of around 40,000, it is renowned for its excellent academic programs, innovative research, and contribution to community improvement.
