Overview

Mälardalen University (MDH) is situated in the densely populated and expansive region around Lake Mälaren, about 100 kilometers west of Stockholm. It is a popular choice among students for its focus on innovation and partnerships with businesses and the public sector in the region. The University has two campuses, one in Eskilstuna and the other in Västerås. As one of Sweden’s large, comprehensive universities, MDH offers education in Business Administration, Health and Welfare, Teacher Training, Social Sciences, Computing, Life Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematics. The university's strong ties with trade and industry mean that they can offer education with a unique mix of research, entrepreneurism, and work-life contact. MDH's research is conducted within five different research specializations. Two are internationally-leading: Embedded Systems and Health and Welfare.
