Overview

Nanchang University (NCU) is one of China's comprehensive universities under the administration of the Ministry of Education. The roots of the university trace back to Jiangxi Public Medical College and National Chung-cheng University established in 1921 and 1940 respectively. Over the years, NCU has grown and advanced with joint support from the Chinese Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Provincial Government. Its comprehensive programs cover 10 disciplines including science, engineering, medicine, arts, economics, management, law, education, philosophy, and history. Presently, the university has 23 colleges that offer 94 undergraduate programs, 210 master's degree programs, and 130 doctoral programs.
