Nanjing Agricultural University is a comprehensive and public research university, established in the year 1902 and listed as one of China's oldest and prestigious institutes. It holds a strong background in aspects of agriculture, biology, and food science, with development in humanities, economics, management, law, and several other fields. NAU is led by the Ministry of Education (China) and was one of the first universities to be included in the national '211 Project' and has also been selected for China's new 'Double First Class' initiative. The university shines with its 26 schools, under which over 70 undergraduate, nearly 160 master, and 100 doctoral programs are taught by a faculty of over 2,000 professionally skilled teachers.
