Overview
First founded in 1979, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, previously known as National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, began as an upgraded version of the National Kaohsiung Institute of Technology. It was elevated to university status in 1997. Today, NKFUST comprises five colleges: Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Management, Finance and Banking, and Humanities and Social Sciences. The University is noted for its emphasis on both theoretical and practical training.
