Northeastern University (Shenyang) is one of the top public schools in China. It was founded in 1923 and is located in Shenyang, Liaoning province. This university offers a wide range of programs and is known for its research excellence, especially in engineering and materials science.

Overview

Considered a 'Double First Class' initiative university—a government initiative aimed at cultivating world-class institutions in China, the Northeastern University, Shenyang, is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Liaoning Province. Known for its engineering, especially in the field of Iron and Steel, NEU has now developed into a comprehensive university, comprising of various academic disciplines, including science, management, liberal arts, law and economics. It covers an area of about 2.48 million square meters, with construction area of about 1.37 million square meters. The university offers 72 undergraduate programs, and a considerable number of postgraduate and PhD programs as well. The campus is equipped with over a hundred laboratories, a library with a collection of over 3 million books, and other necessary facilities.
