O.P. Jindal Global University

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a non-profit global university established by the Government of Haryana and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). JGU maintains a 1:9 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from India and around the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience.

Overview

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) was established in 2009 as a philanthropic initiative of its founding chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal. The University was established in memory of Mr. Jindal's father, Mr. O.P. Jindal, a renowned politician and philanthropist. JGU is a research intensive university, deeply committed to its core institutional values of Inter-disciplinary and innovative pedagogy; pluralism and rigorous scholarship and globalism and international engagement. The University has established eight schools including Art & Architecture; Banking & Finance; Business; International Affairs; Journalism & Communication; Law; and Liberal Arts & Humanities, each having a well-reputed international faculty drawn from educational institutions around the world. JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that has received both the 'Institution of Eminence' (IoE) status from the Government of India and ranked as a 'Top 650 University in the World' by QS World University Rankings 2022.
