Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) is a state university in Oslo and Akershus in Norway. It has around 1,200 academic employees (of which over 10% are internationally recruited), around 20,000 students and offers a wide range of study programmes. The university offers professional studies in health sciences, social sciences, teacher education, interpreting and translation, engineering, arts, and design. The institution was granted university status in 2018 and it is Norway’s third largest university. It was established from the merger of Oslo and Akershus University College.
