Shahid Beheshti University, originally known as the National University of Iran (NUI), is widely recognized as one of the most respected institutions of higher education in Iran. It was renamed to Shahid Beheshti University after the Iranian Revolution in honor of Ayatollah Dr. Mohammad Beheshti, an important figure in the formation of the post-revolutionary government. The university offers a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs across several disciplines.
