Sias University

Founded in 1998, Sias University is the first solely American-owned University in Central China. Following the western education model, it cultivates diversified talents with international perspectives. Sias is home to students from all over China and over 30 different countries, encouraging a multicultural campus environment.

Overview

Sias University, a higher education institution, was founded by Dr. Shawn Chen. It is the first American-owned university in Central China. The main emphasis of Sias University is undergraduate education that combines Eastern education methodology with Western education pedagogy. Also, Sias is known for its innovation in education and international characteristics, including implementing a transformation in education and the cultivation of creative talents. Specifically, Sias offers 76 undergraduate degree programs, 16 associate degree programs, and 6 dual degree programs in collaboration with international partners. In 2001, it became one of only 19 Minban schools recognized by the Degree Committee of the State Council to grant both bachelors and associate degrees, and gained the right to recommend graduate students. The campus life is vibrant with various cultural and sports activities throughout the year, certainly enhancing the profound understanding among students from different cultural backgrounds.
