South Central University for Nationalities (SCUN) was established in 1951 in Wuhan, China. This comprehensive and multi-disciplinary research university educates around 36,000 students and is one of the 6 national universities in China sponsored by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and Ministry of Education. It offers 48 bachelor's degree programs, 16 first-category disciplines, and 7 designated disciplines with doctorate degree programs. The university is known for its extensive contribution to ethnic minorities welfare, anthropology, human rights, and comparative studies between different nationalities. It includes 25 academic faculties, and a graduate school. In addition to this, it also has strong ties with several Universities and organizations across the world for promoting academic, research and cultural exchange.
