Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST) is a full-time multi-discipline university under the administration of Sichuan Province. Its campus covers an area of over 200 hectares with a total floor space of more than 1000000 square metres. Drawing on some sixty years of development, it has become an important teaching and research university in the southwest region.
Overview
Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST) is located in Mianyang, the only Science and Technology City in China. Since its establishment in 1950, it has grown into a large, full-time institution that offers diverse courses in science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, management and law. The university currently has more than 1000 faculty members and an enrollment of around 27000 students. It boasts 58 undergraduate programs, 98 master's programs, and 19 doctoral programs across 21 schools and departments. Athletically, SWUST competes in China’s College Sports League, enjoying success in sports such as soccer and basketball. The campus integrates teaching, research and living facilities, providing a modern and vibrant environment for learning and innovation. It has been recognized as a National Civilized Campus and has received many accolades for its gorgeous landscape, green buildings, and the harmonious coexistence of people and nature.
