Established in Lubbock in 1923, Texas Tech University has grown to be a prominent player in international higher education. The University comprises of several departments, schools, and colleges including the College of Agriculture Sciences & Natural Resources, College of Human Sciences, Rawls College of Business and the Whitacre College of Engineering. The campus, spanning 1,839 acres, is among one of the largest in the US, known for its stunning and unique Spanish Renaissance architectural style of its buildings. The University's research expenditures have consistently been on the rise and crossed $180 million in the FY 2019.
