Founded in 1991, Universitat Jaume I (UJI) is a public higher education institution located in the large town of Castelló de la Plana, Valencian Community. The university was named after James I of Aragon, also known as Jaume I 'the Conqueror', who founded the Kingdom of Valencia.

Overview

Universitat Jaume I (UJI) is the leading higher education and research centre in the north of the Valencian Community and it is continually seeking to enhance its position among Spanish and international universities. Committed to innovation, it is a young, friendly university which has a strong commitment to the social and economic environment in the region. The UJI offers 31 undergraduate degrees, 45 official master’s degrees, 18 UJI-specific master’s degrees and 24 specialisation courses, and since it was established it has received more than 33,500 students.
