The University of Bialystok is one of the leading institutions in the fully-fledged academic center in Eastern Poland. It is comprehensive, with twelve faculties offering education in various fields and countless student possibilities.

Overview

The University of Białystok was established in 1997 from the Branch of Warsaw University after 29 years of its existence. Since the very beginning, it has been characterized by dynamic development, broadening its educational offer, and launching new faculties. Today, the University of Białystok is one of the largest and most dynamically developing higher education institutions in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It is a place where the cultural heritage of the East and West comes together to create a special atmosphere of the place, inspiring to work and study. Over the last twenty years, the University of Białystok has become an important center for scientific research and a main mover of the social and economic life of the region. It executes a great variety of scientific research, ranging from humanities to natural studies, and the developing interdisciplinary studies constitute the grounds for the innovative and creative approach towards 21st-century challenges.
