Overview

Established in 1538, the University of Debrecen is the oldest continuously operating institution of higher education in Hungary. It has 14 faculties, and offers a wide range of educational options, including natural and social sciences, medical and health sciences, and arts and humanities. With approx. 28,000 students and over 1,300 teaching staff, the university is a hub of higher education in the country.
