The University of Dhaka, established in 1921, is the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in Bangladesh. With over 37,000 students and about 1,800 teaching staff, this university is a hub of learning and knowledge where students from all walks of life come to get a world-class education. The university consists of 13 faculties, 83 departments, and 12 institutes, among which there are faculties of Science, Business Studies, and Social Sciences that are considered to be the best in the country. As a crucial center of socio-economic and political research, it has contributed significantly to the education and development of Bangladesh. The university has been associated with six Nobel laureates, including Muhammad Yunus, a former student, and faculty member. The University of Dhaka is enriched with multimedia classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other academic facilities to ensure an environment conducive to research and learning.
