Founded in 1849, the University of Indonesia (UI) is one of the oldest universities in the Asia region and stands as a symbol of Indonesia’s commitment to education. UI also champions fairness, respect, freedom, intellectual integrity, and academic honesty. It has 16 faculties, 27 research centers, and collaborates with international institutions on many research projects. UI boasts a student body of 43,000, including 3,500 international students from various countries. It is a member of several international university networks, including AUN, APRU, and ASEA UNINET. UI's alumni have made significant contributions in various fields, nationally and internationally. Devoted to environmental sustainability, UI is making strides towards transforming its campuses into eco-friendly, smart, and sustainable green spaces. With its main campus in Depok and secondary one in Jakarta, UI is indeed a beacon of higher education in Indonesia.
