The University of Johannesburg (UJ) was established in 2005 following the merger of the Technikon Witwatersrand and two campuses of Vista University with the Rand Afrikaans University. Today, UJ is one of the largest residential universities in South Africa, with four campuses serving nearly 50,000 students. The University offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four faculties: Engineering & Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Science.
