Overview

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) was established in 2005 following the merger of the Technikon Witwatersrand and two campuses of Vista University with the Rand Afrikaans University. Today, UJ is one of the largest residential universities in South Africa, with four campuses serving nearly 50,000 students. The University offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four faculties: Engineering & Built Environment, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Science. UJ is committed to promoting a culture of innovative learning and teaching, and strive to produce socially responsible graduates. With a strong focus on research and community engagement, it contributes immensely to the growth and development of South Africa and beyond.
