Founded in 1976, The University of Kragujevac (UniKG) is Serbia's fourth oldest university. It's located in the city of Kragujevac, the largest city of the Šumadija area in central Serbia. The university is organized in 12 faculties, spread over 5 cities of Central Serbia, offering bachelor, master, and PhD degrees in medical, natural, technical, social sciences, and arts. It has around 20,000 students and employs about 1,200 teaching and research staff. UniKG puts a strong emphasis on research, achieving considerable success in the medical, technical, and natural sciences. It is recognized for its partners in multi-disciplinary research groups working on various national and international projects.
