Overview
The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is a leading multi-campus university that offers high quality programs and research facilities. The university was formed out of a merger between the former University of Natal and the University of Durban-Westville. It has five campuses in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across four Colleges: Agriculture, Engineering and Science; Health Sciences; Humanities, and Law and Management Studies. UKZN aims at creating an enabling environment for all students to pursue their studies. This includes health and counselling services, academic writing centres, disability support services, among others. UKZN has an international reputation for academic excellence, outstanding research output, and African scholarship. The university is committed to academic freedom, innovative thinking and public service which enhance its community engagement.
