Founded in 1919, the University of Latvia (UL) is one of the largest and most significant educational and scientific institutions in Latvia and the Baltic States. The University offers more than 130 state-accredited academic and professional study programs. With 13 faculties and more than 20 research institutes, it accommodates approximately 15,000 students, including international students from several countries. As a classical university, UL harnesses a broad academic spectrum in both natural sciences and the humanities. The University regularly enhances its curriculum and teaching methods according to current trends in education and research, aiming at becoming a part of the globalized world, and contributing to the development of Latvia. UL collaborates with universities around the globe and is an active member of various international higher education and science associations.
