Overview

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand. UPES is an innovative institution offering industry-aligned specialized undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy, and Legal studies. UPES’ holistic approach and specialized education enables students to be future ready and makes them industry ready professionals. UPES strives to bridge the gap between industry requirements and academia via regular interaction with industry leaders and focusing on relevant skills for future jobs. The campus is spread over 44 acres of land offering a surplus of resources to the students enabling them to manage and coordinate activities related to their respective fields of study.
