Established in 1911, the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (UPRM) is a public, sea-grant, space-grant university in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. It is known for its engineering, agriculture, business administration, and arts and sciences programs.

Overview

The University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (UPRM), is the third oldest of the 11 campuses of the University of Puerto Rico System. A prominent university in the region, it provides a diverse and multicultural student body with a wide range of academic offerings. The university offers 50 baccalaureate programs, 24 master's programs, and three doctoral programs through its four colleges: the College of Agricultural Sciences, the College of Engineering, the College of Administrative Sciences, and the College of Arts and Sciences. These programs are supported by more than 500 faculty members and a support staff of over 1,500. UPRM has been continuously accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education since 1946. It also holds accreditations from 13 other accrediting bodies for specific programs, including engineering, business, and agriculture.
