The University of South China (USC) is a comprehensive public university with a reputation for research and teaching excellence. USC was founded in 1958 and has become a significant force in both domestic and international scientific research. Overview

The University of South China (formerly Hengyang Medical College), is a comprehensive institution which combines disciplines in liberal arts, law, economics, science, engineering, medical science, management, education and art. The University was established in 1958 and is located in the city of Hengyang, in the Hunan Province of China. With over 32,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, USC strives for innovation and collects basic and applicable research results in various fields. The university consists of two main campuses with a total area of 200 hectares, and it is the only university in Hunan Province that has nuclear technology, medical science, and heavy industry as prominent features. USC also promotes exchange and cooperation with educational and research institutions at home and abroad, sharing jointly the fruits of the world's scientific and technological advancement to enhance the quality of higher education and research programs in China.
