The University of Stirling is a public university located in Stirling, Scotland. It was established in 1967, the first new university to be established in Scotland for nearly 400 years. The main campus is situated around the Airthrey Loch where the Cottrell Building—housing classrooms and faculty offices—and student accommodations are located.

Founded in 1967, the University of Stirling is a modern and innovative institution, offering a broad range of courses and strong industry links. Its campus is set in an 18th-century castle estate on the shores of a loch, surrounded by 300 acres of beautiful parkland. The University's focus on employability is reflected in the fact that 96 percent of Stirling graduates are in employment or further study six months after graduating. The university also has partners around the world, including in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia. UoS is known for its excellence in several research areas, quality of its teaching and its comprehensive student support services.
