The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is a public research university, located in and around Bristol, in the South West of England. It offers over 600 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short course levels and has around 30,000 students and 3,000 staff. Overview

The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) was established in 1992, though its roots date back to the 16th-century Bristol Society of Merchant Venturers' Navigation School. It is set across several campuses in and around Bristol, including state-of-the-art learning spaces, accommodation, and many sport, health and wellbeing facilities. UWE Bristol offers more than 600 programs in the arts, business, engineering, law, health, education and more. It has around 30,000 students from over 140 different countries, making it a diverse and interesting place to study. UWE Bristol has a strong focus on partnerships and is known for the strong ties it has created with leading employers like CERN, Rolls Royce, the NHS, Aardman Animation and the BBC to offer its students unparalleled access to professional practice.
